Gu Yanqing develops precision lunar landing and hazard-relative navigation for the Ardea descent system. She is the responsible engineer for terrain-relative state estimation during the final two kilometres of descent.

Gu previously worked on autonomous rendezvous for ALEP 13 and led the landing-navigation reconstruction for ALEP 14 surface-robotics tests.
