Wang Pintang commands ALEP 15 and will lead the first lunar-surface EVA at DGR-2. He is responsible for mission command, landing decisions and the integration of crew actions with the flight-control team.

Wang previously served as pilot on Horizon Expedition 11, commanded two high-altitude research deployments and led the crew review of Dawn landing-system displays.
