Yang Huitian directs the planetary, heliophysics and Earth-science mission portfolios and ANSA's competitive science process. He chairs the Mission Selection Council while recusing from proposals with prior institutional conflicts.

Yang's scientific work focused on magnetospheric particle transport, and he served as project scientist for Aurora-2 before entering agency management.
